This Privacy Policy explains how Basis-Apps ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use basis-apps.net and the Basis accounting application across its Desktop, Server, and Cloud editions.

1. Summary by Edition

  • Desktop (free): all your accounting data is stored locally on your own device. The app does not send your bookkeeping data to us. We only receive data if you contact us or check for updates.
  • Server (self-hosted): you install and run the application on your own server. You are the data controller; we have no access to your bookkeeping data.
  • Cloud (managed): we host the application on your behalf. In this case we process your bookkeeping data as a data processor, acting on your instructions.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, and company name when you sign up or purchase a license.
  • Payment data: handled by our payment provider (Midtrans). We do not store your card number; we only retain transaction status and references.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and access logs for security and diagnostics.
  • Bookkeeping data (Cloud only): the data you enter into the application, which we process on your behalf.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To process payments and manage licenses/subscriptions.
  • To send important account, security, or update notifications.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

4. Payments

Payment transactions are processed by Midtrans. Your card/payment instrument details are handled directly by the provider under their security standards and are not stored by us.

5. Data Location & Hosting

The Cloud edition is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Each customer is provisioned with isolated data. Document attachments are stored in per-customer blob storage.

6. Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies (session, language preference, and portal authentication). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the service (e.g. our payment processor and hosting provider), or where required by law.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account and subscription data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal/tax obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law (including Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and customer data isolation on the Cloud edition.

11. Children

This service is intended for business use and is not directed at minors.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
