Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of basis-apps.net and the Basis accounting application across its Desktop, Server, and Cloud editions (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Basis provides accounting software in three editions: Desktop (free, runs on your own device), Server (paid license, runs on your own server), and Cloud (paid subscription, hosted by us).

2. Accounts

Paid editions require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Licenses & Subscriptions

  • Desktop: provided free of charge and usable for as long as you comply with these Terms.
  • Server: license is purchased once and includes updates for a stated period. After that period the installation keeps running; new updates are optional.
  • Cloud: billed on a subscription basis (monthly/yearly) and renews on your chosen cycle until cancelled.

4. Payments

Payments are processed through Midtrans. Prices may change with prior notice; changes do not affect periods already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to:

  • accessing systems without authorization or disrupting the Service;
  • reverse-engineering or unlawfully redistributing the software;
  • using the Service for any activity that violates applicable law.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you enter. On the Cloud edition we process that data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. On the Desktop and Server editions your data remains entirely under your control.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Cloud edition available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where practical.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
